Patrick Matasi departs for Ethiopia to seal a two-year deal with St. Georges

Tusker and Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi left the country on Thursday to seal a transfer move with Ethiopian giants St. Georges.

Goal now understands that the former Posta Rangers keeper has landed a two year deal with St. Georges.

The influential custodian has been on top form for both club and country, something that caught the eye of the Ethiopian giants. Matasi says he is ready for the new challenge ahead and hopes he will have an instant impact for his new team.

"I have been promised a two-year deal if I pass medical, and to be honest, I'm excited and happy to go and try out," Matasi told Goal in an exclusive interview.

"I take this opportunity to thank my former sides, Posta Rangers, Tusker, AFC Leopards among others, who have shaped me."

This move will definitely push Tusker to venture into the transfer window with an intention of getting a replacement.
