Orlando Pirates offered two Sundowns defenders

The two Masandawana defenders could soon leave the Chloorkop-based side for the Bucaneers

According to reports coming out of Chloorkop, Mamelodi Sundowns have offered Orlando Pirates the opportunity to sign one of their fringe players.

Following a highly disappointing 2016/2017 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season, the Buccaneers have wasted no time in bolstering their squad, having already roped in several notable signings including the Brazilians’ former goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands.

However, Pirates’ spending spree does not seem to be done just yet as they look to bring in further defensive reinforcements in an effort to solidify the backline.

Nonetheless, reports suggest that Tshwane giants are looking to offload experienced right-back Siyanda Zwane , and subsequently have offered him to Pirates.

The 32-year-old found game time difficult to come by of recent times as he has been forced to play second fiddle to Thapelo Morena and Anele Ngcongca.

Although, Zwane has been offered to the Soweto giants, whether or not they choose to pursue the player still remains to be seen as he won’t come cheap.

Zwane is believed to still have two-years remaining on his current deal with the African Champions, and it would mean that Bucs would need to make an offer for him.

Meanwhile, Zwane’s teammate Asavela Mbekile has also been linked with a move to Houghton, and he has also reportedly been offered to Pirates alongside Zwane.
