Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic has stressed the importance of winning consistently ahead of their last two Caf Champions League Group B matches.
The Buccaneers will host Zimbabwean champions FC Platinum next week Friday, before wrapping up their campaign against Guinean giants Horoya AC away on March 16.
Sredojevic has urged his charges to improve as Bucs have recorded only one win in their last seven matches in all competitions.
“We have to lift the level of quality of our form because we have two tough fixtures in the Champions League that we need to win," Sredojevic said on The Citizen.
Pirates are currently placed third on the Group B standings and they will advance to the knockout stages if they win their last two matches against both Platinum and Horoya.
Micho, who has guided Pirates to the Champions League semi-finals in 2006, stated that winning their Premier Soccer League (PSL) matches will boost the team's confidence heading into the two crucial games.
“But in order for that to happen we need to have a good platform (locally) that would set us on a bouncing board towards the higher requirements of the Champions League games ahead of us,” he added.
Pirates are currently placed third on the PSL standings - three points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a game in hand.
The Buccaneers will climb to the top of the league standings if they defeat Arrows and the other results go their away on Saturday.
