Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC has confirmed the appointment of Bernard Mwalala as new head coach.
Mwalala joins Bandari after quitting Nzoia Sugar on Monday. He replaces Ken Odhiambo, who is reportedly heading to Sudan to take up another job. Mwalala quit Nzoia on Monday citing personal reasons but it was later revealed that the former Kenyan player had landed a lucrative deal in Mombasa.
"I can confirm that we have appointed Bernard Mwalala on a one year contract. We have agreed on everything and he has signed a one-year deal. We will give him all the necessary support," Bandari CEO Edward Oduor told Goal.
Mwalala had a successful three-year stint with Nzoia Sugar guiding them back to the Kenyan Premier League in 2016.
