The Super Eagles breezed past the Mediterranean Knights in the first leg but the gaffer is expecting a more difficult game on Tuesday

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has admitted that Libya will be ‘tougher’ when they clash in Sfax for the return fixture of their African Cup of Nations qualifiers doubleheader.

On Saturday, the Super Eagles demolished Omar Al-Marime’s men 4-0 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in the first leg of their meeting, to help them climb to the second spot in the Group with six points from three games.

However, ahead of the second leg at the Stade Taieb Mhiri, the gaffer expects the Libyans to raise the standard.

“[Tuesday’s] game will be tougher than the last one,” Rohr told NFF media.

“It’s always difficult to play the same team twice in three days and win both games, but we’re just as motivated and hungry for victory as we were on Saturday.”

Victory for the three-time African champions in Sfax will bolster their chances of nicking a place in Cameroon next year after failing to qualify for the last two editions of the tournament.
