Melbourne Victory have claimed a fourth A-League championship as they edged past Newcastle Jets 1-0 in the grand final.
Kosta Barbarouses proved the difference striking in the ninth minute for the fastest goal in grand final history.
The strike wasn't without its controversy however with replays showing James Donachie appeared to be offside before providing the assist for Barbarouses.
A desperate Jets side would then ultimately lose Roy O'Donovan in the dying stages as he saw red for a reckless challenge on Joe Marston medalist Lawrence Thomas, who had a faultless game.
