Pep Guardiola's side picked up a record-breaking 15th league win in a row on Wednesday with a 4-0 victory over Swansea City and they will be determined to continue that habit as they tear away from the chasing pack.
Fourth-place Spurs, meanwhile, are 18 points off the pace and, with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal breathing down their necks, they will be desperate to win in order to keep their top-four hopes on track.

BETTING & MATCH ODDS
Man City are in record-breaking form and it is no surprise to see them rated as 4/7 favourites. Tottenham, meanwhile, are priced at 9/2 to beat the league leaders and a draw is considered a 7/2 bet.
Harry Kane is 5/1 to score first, while Sergio Aguero is rated 11/4 to open the scoring at the Etihad.
Man City have opened up a significant lead at the top of the table and they have shown themselves to be on a totally different level to their rivals this season, so Spurs will have to be on the top of their game if they are to stand a chance at the Etihad on Saturday evening.
Guardiola is adamant that his players will not allow complacency to creep in following their sensational start to the season and, having already beaten Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, they will be confident in their ability to see off Mauricio Pochettino's men.
Unlike City, Spurs have been quite inconsistent this season and they have dropped points in eight of their 17 games thus far, losing four times. However, they have taken their performances up a level in recent weeks and a number of players have been vocal about their chances of ending the Blues' unbeaten run.
There is still plenty of football left to play, but even at this early stage the title already seems to be City's to lose. Spurs will attempt to stall the runaway train on Saturday and it will require a monumental effort to pull it off.
