Both sides come into the match after 1-1 draws in their last fixtures – Leicester against West Ham and Tottenham against West Brom – and are both after three points for vastly different reasons.
Nothing less than a spectacular run of form will give Tottenham the chance to contest the Premier League title this season, while the Foxes can move six points away from the relegation zone with a win on Tuesday night.

There’s excitement around the potential return of midfielder Erik Lamela, with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino saying he may be in line for his first appearance since October last year.
Danny Rose will return to the side after his public dissatisfaction with being left out of the squad which faced West Brom at the weekend, while Harry Winks is a doubt as he struggles to shake off illness. Toby Alderweireld (hamstring) and Victor Wanyama (knee) remain sidelined.

Tottenham will play their second of four matches in 11 days when they travel to the King Power Stadium, and need to find goals if they’re to record their eighth league win of the season.
It took a late Harry Kane goal to rescue a point against West Brom at the weekend, and Mauricio Pochettino will be fully aware how important a clinical, regulation victory will be in building important momentum into a packed festive period.
Spurs have struggled to live up to the heights of last season’s second-place finish so far this season and goals haven’t flowed – Kane’s nine account for 42% of his side’s league goals this season.
Son Heung-min’s contribution to the side hasn’t gone unnoticed, but with only the four goals in all competitions, the South Korea international will need to chip in a little more in the coming weeks.
Since Claude Puel’s appointment last month, Leicester have picked up a win and two draws, with one loss in between. It’s vital the 2016 Premier League champions begin to kick on as they enter a busy period of their own.
It’s important, too, that Leicester show they can mix it with the big boys. They host both Manchester clubs and travel to Liverpool before the New Year and so Tuesday night is a good opportunity to lay down a marker.
