The Chanji Boys will be in search of their first win of the season at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday after they drew with Kano Pillars and lost to Sunshine Stars in Akure in their first two encounters. And the return of the attacking midfielder have handed them a major boost ahead of the People's Elephant's visit.
“I have started training with my teammates. Apart from me, we have other players that didn’t make it to Akure and I have been training with them without pains. I feel great again and I am looking forward to the Sunday tie with optimism,” Ashadi told Goal.
“It wasn’t as if the waist injury was much but I was advised not to aggravate it hence the decision to rest it from the Wednesday game against Sunshine Stars. The idea is for me to be ready for the weekend game because Enyimba are a strong side.
“We have put behind us our inability to get a result in Akure and are in high spirits ahead of the visit of Enyimba,” he added.
