Gor Mahia has received another boost following the return to action of defender Karim Nizigiyimana.

The Burundian officially resumed full training with the rest of the squad after sitting out for nine months due to injury.

The 2015 Kenyan Premier League Defender of Year, linked up with the rest of the squad on Monday at Camp Toyoyo, Nairobi.

“Karim was cleared by the doctors and is back to the team and training well with the rest of the players.

"We have done what is required and he will available for selection for matches should the coach feel he is ready to be handed play time,” Gor Mahia CEO Lordvic Aduda told the club’s website.

The right-back has been out of action for nine months after suffering an ankle injury in October 2017, during a league match against Mathare United at Thika Municipal Stadium.
