Despite leading Malaysia to a 4-1 friendly match win over Sri Lanka on Friday, debutant Mohamadou Sumareh declined to take credit for the victory.
The 24-year old came on at the start of the second half in the match that was held in Colombo, while Malaysia were trailing by one goal, troubling the hosts' defence into conceding two goals. The forward then capped off a fine night by scoring two goals himself; in the 85th minute and injury time.

It was the Gambian-born player's first outing for his adopted country, after receiving his Malaysian passport in the middle of this year.
When met by the press at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Saturday morning, the Pahang forward insisted that the win was only attained by the efforts of every team member.
"It was not (just) me, it was the whole team! In the second half the coach made some changes, everyone came out stronger and gave their 100 per cent. It was down to teamwork and not me! It felt good to have the support of all the players, the whole of Malaysia was behind me. It motivated me and gave me a lot of confidence to go out there to perform.
"I wasn't feeling too fit so the trainers helped me out. The coach told me to play it simple and only to go when I needed to go. I had to be smart. Hopefully I'll be fitter for the next game," he remarked.
When asked for his thoughts on playing for the Harimau Malaya at home for the first time, in their next friendly against the Kyrgyz Republic on Tuesday, this is what he said:
"I'm expecting a different atmosphere, and I can't wait for it. I hope it will be another good performance."
Their match this Tuesday will be held at the Hang Jebat Stadium, in Melaka.
