Rahul Bheke's silly error at the back to pull down Sameehg Doutie gifted a penalty to Steve Coppell's side which they duly converted to pick three crucial points.
But Albert Roca did not mince words at the post match press conference where he clearly stated what he thought of the result.
"They did not do much to win the three points. The tie should have been a draw. What we tried today did not happen. For me now it is to find solutions when we play that kind of team," said Roca.
He assessed his team's performance and believes that it was just not their day in office. He also mentioned that Bengaluru FC didn't do enough to win the tie.
"I think we did not deserve to win but we neither deserved to lose. We have tried to build up from the back. They do not give you much space. In second half we created some chances to score but it was not possible to risk a liitle bit more. We have tried everything and perhaps it was not our day," reasoned the Spaniard.
Back-to-back losses against Chennaiyin FC and Jamshedpur will hurt the Bengalore faithful as they had not lost two consecutive home matches since their inception in 2014.
"We were not so good but I am sure that we are not so bad either. To win two away games and to lose here at home is difficult. Hard luck but we have to learn," admitted the coach.
"We are down today but tomorrow it will be another day and we will get up and work hard. We will go to Kerala looking forward to get three points. We are still in a good position on the league table. It's hard to lose games in the last minute but it is something to learn from and do things better," said a confident Roca.
