The Indian eves have dropped three places in the latest FIFA rankings....

The Indian Women’s football team dropped three places from 59th rank to 62nd in the latest FIFA rankings released on Friday.

The Indian took part in the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic qualifying tournament in November. They were placed in Group ‘C’ in the initial round alongside Myanmar, Nepal and Bangladesh.

They qualified to the second round of the competition after finishing second in the group behind Myanmar with four points from three matches.

They drew 1-1 against Nepal and thrashed Bangladesh 7-1 but lost to Myanmar 2-1 in the final group game. 

The second round matches will be played between the 1st to 9th April 2019. Only the three group winners will move to the third qualifying round.
