Gyamfi willing to sign Kotoko extension once demands are met

Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Gyamfi has offered fresh hope to the club's supporters after confirming his willingness to sign a new contract following reports of an imminent departure.

The 26-year-old has been a subject of transfer talks, with eight months left on his deal with the Porcupine Warriors.

However, he insists he hasn't thought of cutting short his stay at the moment if his demands are met.

"It’s true my contract is left with eight months and that means I can begin negotiations with new clubs in five months time due to the Bossman ruling but I'm still negotiating with Kotoko," Gyamfi told Goal.

"I'm still looking for a contract extension so I that can stay. The club gave me an offer and I also presented what I believe it's appropriate for me so that's the point we've reached now. If my demands are met, I will definitely sign a new contract and help the club to win trophies," he added.

Gyamfi joined the Kumasi-based outfit in 2016 as a free agent after concluding his deal with Wa All Stars.
