"We know AFC Leopards are a good side and they have been training for the match. We have also prepared and we will play well in search of a possible win."

He was speaking at City Hall where Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero hosted the two teams ahead of the much-awaited battle. The governor on his side called upon fans to turn up in large numbers and keep peace during the match which will be played at Nyayo Stadium.

AFC Leopards head coach Stewart Hall, who will be experiencing ‘Mashemeji’ derby on the touchline for the first time, also expressed composure terming the match a normal one. "We have been doing our normal training, this is a match like any other and there is nothing new or extra-ordinary with this game. As usual we have to give our best and try win maximum points; that is all that matters. But I am expecting a very exciting game this weekend."

So far, Gor Mahia are placed second on the Kenyan Premier League log while AFC Leopards are fourth. Posta Rangers are the leading side from eight matches.
