Persib Bandung consolidated their lead atop the Indonesian Super Liga with a dramatic 3-2 win over PS TIRA away from home on Monday.
The star of the show for the Indonesian side was their striker Patrich Wanggai who ran the show against PSM Makassar.
The home side took the lead just before half-time through an own goal and it seemed as if Persib would have a woeful day. But up stepped Patrich Wanggai with a brace that propelled his team to all three points.
He showed brilliant ball control before dispatching off a superb volley to equalise in first-half injury time. He then put Persib 2-1 up in the 83rd minute with a left-footed finish off Jonathan Baumann's cross.
Though TIRA hit back with a late penalty, Baumann scored even later to seal the win for Persib. But no doubt, it was Wanggai's brilliant brace that grabbed the headlines.
Ultimately, his stellar show gave Persib an important win and he is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!
