Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has announced a 20-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifier against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa on November 18.

The squad, which is made up of two goalkeepers, six defenders, eight midfielders and four strikers, includes Andre and Jordan Ayew, who last featured for the Black Stars in September 2017.

With four points behind group leaders Kenya and one behind second-placed Ethiopia, Ghana are in dire need of a win to brighten their chances of qualification.

Former Wafa midfielder Majeed Ashimeru, who currently plies his trade with St. Gallen in Switzerland made the cut while Nicholas Opoku, whose blunder helped AC Milan to victory over Udinese in Serie A last weekend, was not invited.

Thomas Agyepong, Felix Annan and Richmond Boakye Yiadom are among those who couldn't retain their place in the squad.

The Black Stars will open camp in Nairobi on November 12 before departing for Ethiopia five days later.
