Alhaji Gero was on target as Ostersunds were held to a 2-2 draw against Athletic Bilbao in Thurday’s Uefa Europa League encounter.

Spain international, Aritz Aduriz had given the visitors the lead in the 14th minute and Jose Angel Ziganda’s side headed into the break a goal up.

The Jamkraft Arena outfit were pulled level by Gero in the 52nd minute before Curtis Edwards handed them the lead after he smashed a 25-yard volley past Iago Henrrerin four minutes after the hour mark.

But just before full time, substitute Inaki Williams popped up to spoil the Allsvenskan outfit's perfect record in the competition after converting Adruiz' cross past Aly Keita.

Gero played for the entire duration of the game and was booked in the 72nd minute.

His side have seven points and sit atop Group J in the European second tier club competition after winning two and recording a draw.
