Football coach allegedly kidnapped fifteen children in Johannesburg

On Saturday, a group of children were allegedly kidnapped by their football coach in Johannesburg.

The young kids were part of a group of around 29 children, whose ages ranged between 13 and 15 years, were gathered at the Khutsong South Playground by a coach, who goes by the name of Tebogo Molefe.

According to reports fifteen kids, nine girls and six boys were then chosen and taken to the Oberholzer train station with a taxi under the pretence of going to play a football match.

The coach then reportedly took the children to Standard House town in Simmonds Street, Johannesburg.

It was, however, reported that the missing children have since been found.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini confirmed to News24 that the group of fifteen has been reunited with their families.

The whereabouts of the coach is still unknown as he is currently on the run from police and the motives behind the alleged abductions remain a mystery.
