Erick Kapaito steered William Muluya side to a heavy victory over a visibly shaken Ulinzi Stars with his second hat-trick in two games for Sharks.
Ulinzi Stars coach Dunstan Nyaudo tinkered with his squad that beat Gor Mahia last time out, but the gamble did not bear any dividends when the Soldiers found themselves trailing with only four minutes into the game.
Nyaudo had brought in Oliver Ruto and John Kago in places of Hamisi Abdallah and Harun Mwale. Harrison Mwendwa, Eric Kapaito, George Abege scored early in the first half to hand Sharks another chance in the final where they will meet either AFC Leopards or Sofapaka.
Sharks went into the break with a massive 3-0 scoreline but they picked up from where they left after the restart. Kapaito, who also hit a hat trick against Nakumatt in the league match, scored his sixth goal in two games when he connected home his third goal mid second half.
Oliver Ruto blew away a clear chance from close range. Enosh Ochieng couldn't just get his feet off the ground with Gad Mathews to beat. Ulinzi Stars were lethargic.
Ulinzi pulled one back but it was too little too late. Sharks will meet the winner between Ingwe and Sofapaka in the other semi-final battle of the 'Big Cats'.
