WATCH: Fence collapses as Sydney FC supporters celebrate goal

A Leichhardt Oval fence has collapsed under the weight of Sydney FC fans as they celebrated a goal in the dying stages of the A-League match against Adelaide United on Friday night.

The collapse occurred after 20-year-old Sydney FC midfielder Cameron Devlin scored his first A-League goal in stoppage time to seal the 2-0 victory over the Reds.

No one was seriously injured in the incident with only a security guard receiving minor medical attention in the aftermath.

Second-placed Sydney FC moved four points clear of Melbourne Victory with the win, that was sparked by another first A-League goal from Iranian striker Reza Ghoochannejhad in the 15th minute.

With six games to play, the Sky Blues remain five points behind league leaders Perth Glory, who play Melbourne City on Sunday, with Steve Corica's team seeking to claim their third consecutive Premiers Plate.
