Gameweek One of the new season of Premier League Fantasy Football has come and gone, and brought with it a lot of high scores.
With many popular players picking up big points hauls in the opening game of the season, fantasy football fans are left playing catch-up in their mini-leagues after just one weekend of competitive football.
However, all is not lost and there is no need to panic after just one gameweek. Some of those high scorers might be hitting form at the right time, while other players may not be able to live up to the impact of their first game of the new season.
Players who featured in the latter stages of the World Cup and some late transfer window signings are now in contention for their clubs, meaning now is a good time to assess your chosen fantasy football side and see where you can make improvements.
But don't hit the Wildcard button just yet! Follow our advice to help you improve your points total for gameweek two.
Fantasy Football strikers to pick in Gameweek Two

Sergio Aguero - Man City - £11.0m
Manchester City had a difficult fixture in Gameweek One, but put in an excellent performance as they defeated Arsenal 2-0. In reality, the scoreline could have been much bigger as City dominated possession and territory. Aguero was not among the goalscorers, but has been handed a fantastic fixture for Gameweek Two, hosting Huddersfield before a run of winnable games until the Gameweek Eight clash with Liverpool.
Jamie Vardy - Leicester - £9.0m
The Foxes forward had an instant impact from the bench after Kelechi Iheanacho failed to impress on the league's first Friday against Manchester United. Vardy was fortunate to score a deflected goal, but Leicester looked sharp before that consolation goal and should be able to get a better result against Wolves in their second game.
Roberto Firmino - Liverpool - £9.5m
Sadio Mane made the headlines with two goals in Liverpool's 4-0 opening weekend win, while Mohamed Salah picked up where he left off with his first goal of the new campaign. Firmino provided an assist, but as the central of the three attackers, should be involved in goals on a regular basis. Liverpool play Crystal Palace as they hope to pick up another three points - and some fantasy points for their frontline.
Cenk Tosun - Everton - £7.0m
Everton's opening run of fixtures make their players appealing for the first two months of fantasy football, with trips to Arsenal and Man Utd their only difficult games on paper in the first 10 gameweeks. Having spent heavily during the transfer window, forward Tosun now has more talent supplying him and should improve on his goal tally this season.
Romelu Lukaku - Man Utd - £11.0m
The Belgium striker started from the bench in the opening game as manager Jose Mourinho gave him more time to recover after reaching the World Cup semi-final. Marcus Rashford was ineffective leading the line for United, so Lukaku will definitely start their second game and could definitely score some goals at Brighton.

Richarlison - Everton - £6.6m
The new Toffees signing made an instant impact after being reunited with Marco Silva, scoring twice in the 2-2 draw with Wolves. He started brilliantly for Watford last season and could repeat that feat this campaign, having already had a brilliant beginning to life in a Blue shirt.
N'Golo Kante - Chelsea - £5.0m
Not known for his goalscoring, Kante was among the scorers as Mauricio Sarri recorded a 3-0 win in his first game as a Premier League manager. Sarri is using Kante in a more attacking role with Jorginho sitting deep. The Brazilian-Italian scored from the spot in the opener, but is unlikely to be the first choice penalty taker with Eden Hazard back in the lineup. However, Kante's new position might see him pick up more assists and prove excellent value for money.
Bernardo Silva - Man City - £7.5m
David Silva did not make the Man City squad for the first weekend but is likely to be involved again, making it even more difficult to choose which midfielders Pep Guardiola will select. There are an abundance of options available, but Bernardo Silva's goal and pre-season form mean he is likely to retain his place, with Huddersfield next up for the champions.
Paul Pogba - Man Utd - £8.1m
Having been handed the captain's armband in Gameweek One, Pogba took it upon himself to convert United's penalty despite Alexis Sanchez wanting to take it after winning the spot kick. Pogba was excellent for France at the World Cup and took that form into the opening game of the season as he returned to club football.
Dele Alli - Spurs - £9.0m
Heung-Min Son has left the Tottenham squad to join South Korea for the Asian Games, meaning their attacking impact will have to come from elsewhere. Alli is full of confidence after getting to the last four at the World Cup and is £0.5m cheaper than team-mate Christian Eriksen in the Spurs midfield.
Fantasy Football defenders to pick in Gameweek Two

Benjamin Mendy - Man City - £6.1m
With so many options in Man City's midfield, as well as the possibility Gabriel Jesus could start ahead of Aguero up front, the surest way to have Citizens coverage might be to include full-back Mendy. He provided two assists in the opening game and showed exactly why he was so highly rated by Guardiola before being ruled out for the season last September.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Crystal Palace - £4.1m
An assist and a clean sheet helped Wan-Bissaka to more points in the opening gameweek than the majority of players valued at £6.0m or more. His low pricepoint has already increased due to managers bringing him into their teams and will surely go up further as he becomes the essential fifth defender in fantasy football. He might not score many points this week against Liverpool, but get him while his value is at its lowest.
Yerry Mina - Everton - £5.5m
The Toffees might have wanted to ease their new signing into Premier League football, but a red card to Phil Jagielka may now see him start sooner than anticipated. Jagielka will miss three games due to suspension, meaning Mina is likely to take his place for Southampton on Saturday and keep that spot remainder of the season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold - Liverpool - £5.0m
Liverpool's addition of Alisson makes their defenders even more tempting in fantasy football, as now they have a reliable goalkeeper to help them to even more clean sheets. Their full-backs also provide the possibility of attacking points, with Andy Robertson recording an assist in gameweek one. Alexander-Arnold is £1.0m cheaper, but both players are worthy investments.
Kieran Trippier - Spurs - £6.0m
Serge Aurier started in the 2-1 win at Spurs, but Trippier is back in contention after recovering from playing for England at the World Cup. He linked up brilliantly with Harry Kane in Russia and can be the man to provide the assists for the Tottenham striker to break his August duck.
Fantasy Football goalkeepers to pick in Gameweek Two

Hugo Lloris - Spurs - £5.5m
The World Cup winner remains one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and is crucial to Tottenham's chances of finishing in the top four. After beating Newcastle 2-1 in their opening game, they host Fulham in Gameweek Two, which should be a good opportunity to pick up some clean sheet and save points.
Asmir Begovic - Bournemouth - £4.5m
Begovic is already one of the top scoring goalkeepers and his price makes him an appealing option to be your first choice. Rotating with another cheap goalkeeper is definitely an option, but in the first 10 weeks, the Cherries face only one of the top six sides so Begovic could be chosen as a starter at every opportunity.
Ben Foster - Watford - £4.5m
Foster started off with a clean sheet against Brighton and has a chance to continue his strong start with games against Burnley and Crystal Palace in the next two gameweeks. Spurs and Man Utd are the next two fixtures after those, so if you bring Foster in, make sure you have a solid backup option.
Kasper Schmeichel - Leicester - £5.0m
Schmeichel pulled off some great saves in the 2-1 defeat to Man Utd, but was unfortunately on the losing side thanks to a penalty and an acrobatic finish. He is unlikely to be as unlucky in Gameweek Two, with a home game against Wolves.
Alisson - Liverpool - £5.5m
One game, one clean sheet. Life could not have started any better for Liverpool's new goalkeeper. The Brazilian looked very confident in goal against West Ham, but had little to trouble him. He might be a bit busier at Crystal Palace, but that should convert into save points and possibly a clean sheet.
