EXTRA TIME: Watch Mosimane explain why Onyango can win African Player of the Year

The Ugandan goalkeeper is already rated as one of the best African keepers, but how much higher can his status rise?

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes that Denis Onyango is not just the best keeper in Africa.

The mentor points out that Onyango can also win the African Player of the Year award. Really?

That is a big statement to make, particularly since it would mean Mosimane rates Onyango higher than the likes of Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

It would be surprising to have a local player from the PSL beat star players from Europe for Africa's top award.

However that seems unlikely. Nevertheless Mosimane points out why Onyango is so good. Watch the interview on Twitter here.
