EXTRA TIME: Daine Klate jokes about playing cricket for Port Elizabeth's Warriors

How many soccer fans out there know that the legendary PSL player could've been a cricket star?

That's seriously true, even though Daine Klate is looking back with nostalgia, as well as looking forward and joking about his future in sport.

Klate has won it all in the Premier Soccer League. He's been talking about coaching lately, and has enough time on his hands to follow through if he decides to inspire the youth of tomorrow.

What about going back to cricket? At school and district level he was a fast bowler and a capable batsman.

At the age of 14 he left Port Elizabeth to join a Safa school of excellence development program and soccer became his number one sport.
