"The game is part of the landmark 15th annual Mexican National Team U.S. Tour, which kicked off on Feb. 8 in Las Vegas in a 1-0 win against Iceland in front of a record breaking audience for soccer in the city."

Ghana first faced Mexico in 2006, where Guillermo Franco's solitary goal gave the latter a 1-0 win in a game played at the FC Dallas’ Toyota Stadium in the USA.

The Black Stars had the chance to make amends two years later in England but Pavel Pardo's second half penalty secured El Tri a 2-1 victory.
