Enugu Rangers’ Chiamaka Madu has stated that beyond the 1-1 draw they played against Lobi Stars on Sunday the way they played the game has confirmed to them that they are ready for the Nigeria Professional Football League restart.

The former defunct Sharks midfielder charged his teammates to step up their game better than they did against Lobi Stars and strive to take their opportunities better so that they can improve further in the league table.

“We played a 1-1 draw but beyond the scores, we played a very good game and should have beaten Lobi Stars without a trace,” Madu told Goal.

“We used the game to assess our readiness for the resumption of the league and from the way we played and how we gave Lobi Stars a run for their money, I can boldly say that we are ready. Our opponents will see the best of us when the season restarts.

“We just have to work on few basic things so that we won’t just be playing for the sake of it. We need to convert our chances better. We are creating the chances but we must score more of these opportunities so that we don’t end up paying for it.
