SportPesa have announced their return as Kenya Premier League title sponsors.
The gaming giants had suspended all their engagements in sports activities last January due to the 30 percent tax levy proposed by the government on all betting and gambling revenue.
But the firm, on Monday, announced a Sh682 million three-year-deal for KPL, Football Kenya Federation, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.
Under the new deal, Gor Mahia will receive Sh198 million while AFC Leopards will pocket Sh156m in a three-year deal for both clubs.
Kenyan Premier League will receive Sh259m in a title sponsorship deal while Football Kenya Federation will get Sh69 million.
FKF President Nick Mwendwa, who was present during the unveiling ceremony, revealed that Sh69million will go towards supporting the FKF Cup.
With the new sponsorship, the Kenyan league has now been renamed to SportPesa Premier League while the FKF Cup will be branded SportPesa Shield Cup.
