Our tipster is expecting Mauricio Pochettino's in-form side to get back on the goal trail against the Lions in Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final clash

Sunday’s FA Cup football comes from north London as Tottenham Hotspur play host to Millwall for a place in the final four of the competition.

Spurs have been superb on home soil in domestic competition thus far this term; last Sunday’s win against Everton was an 11th successive win at White Hart Lane for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who have now gone 17 matches without defeat at the venue in all competitions during the current campaign.

As such, the Premier League side are red-hot favourites to secure a semi-final spot at the expense of their League One opponents and Spurs are as short as 1/6 (1.17) with Paddy Power to progress past the Lions inside 90 minutes.

Neil Harris’ side have enjoyed a spirited run to the last eight, having defeated no fewer than three Premier League sides en route to this tie. AFC Bournemouth, Watford and Leicester City have all come up short against Millwall and, indeed, the Lions have conceded just two goals in five FA Cup wins thus far this term.

Each of those five victories, however, came on home turf and the enormity of the task facing Harris’ side on this occasion is reflected by Paddy Power’s 12/1 (13.0) quote for Millwall to win at White Hart Lane, while the same firm offer 11/2 (6.50) that the Lions take the tie to a replay at The Den.

Spurs survived a major scare in the fourth round of this competition as they came from 2-0 and 3-2 behind against Wycombe Wanderers before finally coming through by virtue of a 4-3 victory and, perhaps as a consequence, Pochettino fielded a strong side in the fifth round against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Harry Kane hit a hat-trick in Tottenham's 3-0 win against the Cottagers in west London and the 23-year-old striker is certainly in a rich vein of form ahead of this tie, having scored 12 goals in his last eight appearances for Spurs in domestic competition; Paddy Power go 1/2 (1.50) that Kane finds the net at any time, while the same firm offer 6/1 (7.0) that the England international hits his fourth hat-trick of 2017 against the League One side on Sunday.

It is not just of Kane, though, that Millwall must be wary. Spurs have been clinical in the final third, particularly on home soil in recent months. In fact, Tottenham have scored more than two goals in four of their last five fixtures at White Hart Lane.

Backing Spurs, therefore, to get amongst the goals again could well offer value for punters ahead of Sunday’s showdown and Paddy Power’s 8/11 (1.73) quote for the hosts to hit more than two goals could be a solid selection for punters; the selection would have landed in five of Spurs' last six wins in all competitions.
