Niko Kovac
With Les Parisiens missing a host of key players, Al Hain-Cole is backing Kovac to oversee a debut victory in the International Champions Cup

Two new managers will be aiming to get off to a winning start when Bayern Munich take on Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday’s International Champions Cup clash.

Having masterminded Eintracht Frankfurt’s surprise DFB Pokal final victory over his old team, Niko Kovac has been given the daunting task of replacing popular interim manager Jupp Heynckes in the German champions’ dugout.

Latest Odds

The former Croatia manager can be backed at 8/11 (1.73) with dabblebet to get off to a winning start at the club where he spent two seasons as a player.

After replacing Unai Emery in the French capital, Thomas Tuchel is priced at 16/5 (4.20) to oversee a debut victory against a team he beat five times in 17 Bundesliga encounters for Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.

None of the eight previous encounters between this pair have resulted in draws, but you can get odds of 3/1 (4.00) on them taking this one to penalties after a deadlocked 90 minutes.

Team News

While James Rodriguez, Corentin Tolisso and Thomas Muller are set to be absent after taking part in the World Cup, a strong squad will still include the likes of Arjen Robben, David Alaba and Arturo Vidal.

Meanwhile, Les Parisiens are without star attacking trio Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe, although Gianluigi Buffon is set to make his debut in Klagenfurt.

Weakened Parisiens

Although he will be particularly determined to get a good result against his former Bundesliga rivals, Tuchel is up against it to hit the ground running considering the players he is missing.

As well as the famous front three, the absences of Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Thomas Meunier, Presnel Kimpembe, Julian Draxler, Giovani Lo Celso and Angel Di Maria denies the former Dortmund boss of basically an entire outfield.

With Bayern still able to call upon a far more senior line-up, those 8/11 (1.73) odds look justified on Kovac being rewarded with a debut win rather than the PSG boss.
