Badu denies offer from Premier League side Huddersfield Town

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has rejected reports linking him to English Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town from Italian Serie A side Udinese Calcio ahead of the new season.

The 26-year-old, who has spent seven seasons with the Zebras since joining from Asante Kotoko, has become a major target for several clubs after admitting he will relish a change of environment.

The reports intensified last week when he was rumoured to have met Huddersfield's top hierarchy after playing a part in Udinese's 2-1 victory over the English club in a pre-season friendly.

“It is not true. I’m not joining Huddersfield Town," Badu told Starr Sports.

"I don’t have any offer from Huddersfield. I am just here (in Austria) with Udinese for the pre-season tour [ahead of the Serie A]," he added.

Badu was reported to have met with Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp last week but nothing filtered out of their meeting.

The defensive midfielder boasts of 76 appearances and 10 goals with Ghana since making his debut in 2008.
