Mao: The Transfer window has weakened Azam

Azam lost three first team players to Simba and one to Yanga during the transfer window

Azam FC skipper, Himid Mao has claimed that the loss of some of their key players prior to this season has weakened the side's progression.
John Bocco, Erasto Nyoni, Aishi Manula and Shomari Kapombe all joined Simba while Gadiel Michael departed to Yanga.

Speaking to Goal, Mao said that they have a very good squad but they miss the experienced players who departed in the transfer window, something which has weakened the side.

“We have good squad, but we lost experienced players in the transfer window, that’s why our current squad is in a transition period,” said Mao.

Azam currently sit third on the table and recently crashed out of Federation cup after losing against Mtibwa Sugar in the quarter finals.
