'An experience abroad would be nice' - Allegri hints at Juventus exit

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that he would be open to leaving the club in the future, while still reeling from losing against Manchester United in Europe.

The Bianconeri succumbed to a shock 2-1 defeat at the Allianz Stadium last Wednesday in the Champions League, conceding two late goals which ruined their unbeaten start to the season.

Allegri's men bounced back instantly with a 2-0 away win against arch-rivals AC Milan on Sunday, but the 51-year-old boss is still baffled by the result against United.

"It was not easy after a daring defeat like the one against Manchester United," he told Sports Mediaset after winning the Golden Bench award for the 2017-18 season. "We were a bit stunned because it was from April that we did not lose a match, but the boys played a serious match, both from the defensive and offensive point of view."

The Juve boss then responded to questions surrounding his future, confessing that a move abroad someday does appeal to him.

"My future? Surely an experience abroad would be nice,`' Allegri continued. "But I am fine at Juventus. I am at a big team, a solid club that works for the future. We share everything and I hope to stay here for a long time."

Juve are top of Serie A by six points after 12 matches, having won all but one of their fixtures so far. They are also still top of Group H in the Champions League despite the loss against United and look well positioned to challenge for three major trophies over the next few months.

However, speculation linking Allegri with Jose Mourinho's job at Old Trafford has been rife in recent times, and his latest comments could add fuel to the fire of those rumours, particularly as the Portuguese coach's job continues to hang by a thread in England.

Next up for Juventus after the international break is a home fixture against SPAL on November 24, before a return to European duties against Valencia three days later.
