Agent confirms Sangweni wants to leave Chippa United

Chippa United midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni is seeking a new challenge ahead of next season, his agent Ali Tlhoaele has confirmed.

The football agent however, dismissed suggestions that Sangweni is unhappy at the Chilli Boys, saying the Port Elizabeth-based outfit is still taking good care of him.

The 28-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns player has recently been linked with a possible move to Kaizer Chiefs, while Orlando Pirates are also reported to be keen on his signature.

"Sangweni wants to leave Chippa because he's looking for a new challenge, and not because he's not happy [at Chippa]," Tlhoaele told Isolezwe

"The club is taking good care of him and we understand that it won't be easy for them to allow him to leave because he's still contracted to them. He signed a new three-year deal in December," said Tlhoaele.

Chippa Mpengesi has already confirmed that a few PSL clubs have enquired about the availability of Sangweni, saying they will entertain offers for the former Bafana Bafana midfielder.

Sangweni's career has been on the rise since joining Chippa United from the Brazilians three years ago.
