AFC Leopards captain Duncan Otieno feels the season was better despite finishing seventh on the log.

Ingwe started the season well but lost it somewhere down the line before peaking up in the second leg but could not sustain it. The influential skipper is however, confident of the new season that he hopes will be better with proper planning in all departments.

“It has been a great season with a lot of positives to take, personally I feel I have given it my best even though it was tough at the end. We have made mistakes and I hope we have learned and we are ready to make corrections where necessary as playing unit, technical bench and even the National Executive Council.

“The table does not lie, we are seventh; though with an improvement on points from last season but I feel with better planning and more commitment from everybody in the club we could have done better.

“I thank our fans so much for the support they have given the team to the very end, Ingwe will be great again, I have a strong belief let us not give up,” Otieno told Goal in an interview.

The team is preparing to face Ulinzi Stars in the FKF Shield Cup third place play-off.
