Japan’s Shriker Osaka kicked off the AFC Futsal Championship Vietnam 2017 with a commanding 5-1 victory over Shenzhen Nanjing in the Group C opener at Phu Tho indoor stadium on Thursday.
It was the Chinese side, however, creating the game’s first chance but Shriker took the lead with Shota Horigome’s opener (5’). Shenzen hit back immediately with the score by Peyman Hafizi (6’). But Shriker then took the lead again and scored 2 consecutive goals by Nobuya Osodo (10’), Arthur De Oliveira (17’).

Vic Vipers finally drew level six minutes before the break thanks to Shayan Alinejard’s goal (14’) before Henmi completed the double, 2-1 for the UAE side at the 17th minute.
The Australian side failed to find the equalizer in the remaining time of the match. It simply had to come and Al Dhafra secured their 4-1 victory over Vic Vipers with 2 consecutive goals by Brazilian Williams Oliveira Do Nascimento (31’ and 38’).
GROUP A: Thai Son Nam FC (VIE) 4-5 FC EREM (KGZ)
In the second match of Group A, Vietnam's Thai Son Nam FC lost 4-5 to FC Erem from Kyrgyzstan in a thrilling encounter from start to finish on Thursday.
After a bright start, the home side opened the score with Pham Duc Hoa's goal in the 9th minute. However, the lack of teamwork from the Vietnamese team allowed Erem to come back and scored 2 goals before the end of the 1st half. In the 2nd half, thanks to the right counter-attack tactic, Alimov secured the competition’s first hat-trick for FC Erem’s fourth goal of the match. Thai Son Nam was coming close to an equalizer with 2 goals from Nguyen Minh Tri (38’) and Hossein Tayyebibidgoli (40’) successively. However, the Kyrgyz Republic club added their fifth in the closing minutes. Erem's Baigazy Ulanbek scored the winner to give his team a 5-4 win.
Thai Son Nam will take on Vic Vipers next, who earlier in the day succumbed 4-1 to FC Erem’s next opponents, UAE’s Al-Dharfah, with both matches on Saturday.
