Mooy has had nearly a month with van Bommel after an intense training camp in Turkey and feels he's a lot better off for the experience.
"It's hard and tough but it's enjoyable," Mooy said.
"We're all learning new things, especially from people like van Bommel.
"For me he's a midfielder, he played at the very highest level and I'm learning a lot from him."
Unsurprisingly, Eriksen is the player all Australians are wary of ahead of their clash with Denmark, and Mooy is no different.
Having played against him in the Premier League this season, Mooy knows the threat he poses and is eager to minimise his impact on the game.
"He's had an excellent season and he's probably Denmark's most dangerous player," he said.
"We have to keep a close eye on him and stop the supply coming through him."
