Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) head coach Mario Gomez has announced that the club have transfer listed striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz, and will send Singaporean midfielder Hariss Harun out on a loan deal.

According to Gomez, the decision on the 2016 Super League (MSL) topscorer Gomez was taken due to JDT's inability to meet his pay demands for 2017.

"He wants to stay here, but we cannot afford the new salary requested and we need to control the club's spending. Therefore the decision to sell him is correct," revealed Gomez on the club's social media, while adding that they have already received offers for the 26-year old.

Following the conclusion of the 2016 season which saw the Southern Tigers lift their third consecutive MSL title, JDT owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim announced a sustainable spending plan for the club, ahead of the 2017 season.

But interestingly, it has been revealed that Diaz has made two social media posts slamming an unnamed club, prior to JDT's announcement on his future.

Singapore international Hariss Harun meanwhile will be loaned out to either a Japanese or a Portuguese club, to give him more experience.

"Hariss Harun is a good and disciplined player. He means a lot to the club and we will send him out to a Portuguese or Japanese club on a year-long loan.

"I'm sure at his current age, his playing ability will improve if he's given a chance to play at a higher level. He will be a valuable asset for the club in the future when he returns from the overseas club," stated Gomez.
