The Red Eagles earlier this week announced the signing of Danish striker Ken Ilsø Larsen on a one-year contract. The former Denmark youth international has had experience playing for FC Midtjylland, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Guangzhou R&F. The 30-year old last played for S-League's Home United in 2015 and 2016, making 41 appearances and scoring 36 goals for them.
The Dane has been attending trial with Kedah since the final week of December 2016, and his signing means that he has sufficiently proven his mettle to the Red Eagles' coaching staff.
According to Kedah, they now have one more foreign player slot to fill, and the 2016 Malaysia Cup champions have to decide between two South Korean defenders; Jang Suk-won and Ahn Jae-hoon.
Two players have announced that they have joined island side Pulau Pinang. Former ATM and PDRM defender K. Reuben and former Kuantan FA midfielder Shazalee Ramlee have both signed for the Panthers for the 2017 season.
The Red Ants meanwhile have been giving a trial to Argentinian forward Lucas Espindola, as replacement for his compatriot Gabriel Guerra who has left for JDT II. The 22-year old used to play for CA All Boys in the Argentinian second division.
Most recently, Espindola scored the only goal of the match in PKNS' 1-0 friendly win over Kuala Lumpur at the PKNS Sports Complex on Wednesday, to record PKNS' first pre-season friendly win out of six matches.
