Despite having played five friendly matches without a win, PKNS FC head coach E. Elavarasan is not alarmed.
On Friday, PKNS drew 1-1 against Premier League side Negeri Sembilan at the PKNS Sports Complex in Kelana Jaya.
According to the Red Ants' social media, the coach's objective in the pre-season is laying the ground for team chemistry.
"The players are still getting used to their teammates' style of play and this is the purpose of the pre-season friendlies," said Elavarasan.
Furthermore, he did not field three of their foreign players.
"There is no need to panic because the lack of a win, because I did not field our three foreign players who just returned from the break. Patrick Ronaldinho [Wleh] and Gonzalo Soto will join the training next week, while Matias Hadwa has just arrived back in the country,
"I plan to field them all in the next friendly match, as well as one import player who is undergoing trial," he revealed.
In the friendly against Negeri, the visitors found the opening goal in the first half, but PKNS found the equaliser at the hour mark, through new signing Bobby Gonzales' goal. It was their third draw out of five pre-season friendlies.
PKNS, who won promotion to the Super League as 2016 Premier League runners up, will next take on Kuala Lumpur at the same venue, on January 4.
