On Monday Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) announced two more new exciting signings. The Southern Tigers have signed Selangor and Malaysia striker Hazwan Bakri, and T-Team winger Safawi Rasid.
The pair has reportedly been under the club's radar and linked with them for some time, and the confirmation has added to several more signings of Malaysia's top talents by the side after the end of the 2016 season, such as midfielders Nazmi Faiz Mansor, Syahrul Azwari and young goalkeeper Haziq Nadzli.
The Labuan-born Hazwan had joined Selangor in 2014 after graduating from the Harimau Muda programme, and has won the 2015 Malaysia Cup with the Red Giants, with him scoring both goals for Selangor in their 2-0 win over Kedah in the final.
Hazwan reportedly still had one year left in his contract with Selangor, but it is believed that the cash-strapped the Red Giants were forced to let JDT buy out the remainder of his contract.
19-year old Safawi meanwhile had been promoted to the T-Team senior side in 2015, and his progress in 2016 has led to him receiving call ups to the Malaysia U23 squad and the senior Malaysia team.
