Perak manager, Jamal Mohd Aris wants his players to recover quickly and bounce back from the defeat against JDT, as they will travel to Larkin to face the same team next Wednesday.

JDT collected three valuable points at Ipoh after Jorge Diaz’ header gave the Southern Tigers the win, but Jamal believed his team can do better in the next game.

Speaking after the game, Jamal said: “We were hoping to get maximum points here but luck was not on our side. Hopefully we can play better when we go to Larkin later.”

“However, I would like to thank our 26, 000 fans who came to the stadium and gave their full support to the team until the end.”

Perak were without their two import strikers, Elias Fernandez and Xhevahir Sukaj and Jamal believed that was one of the reasons why the Bos Gaurus couldn’t play well upfront.

“We missed both Elias and Sukaj and that is why we didn’t play well upfront. Hopefully both of them will be available soon.”

Meanwhile, JDT head coach Mario Gomez was happy with the performance of his players, now that they have stretched the gap with Felda United to four points.

“I am very satisfied and proud with my players. We know that it would be a tough game but the most important thing is the three points.”

“Sometimes we play well, sometimes we don’t but the most important thing is that we bring back three points to Larkin,” added Gomez.

Gomez is also confident that they can repeat the same performance against Perak when they welcome the Bos Gaurus in a few days time.

JDT picked up their 13th win of the season, which opened up a four point lead over Felda United with only five matches remaining in the season.
