Malaysian Super League (MSL) outfit Felda United will get prioritisation for the use of the RM 92 million brand new stadium, the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium in Jengka, Pahang.
At a press conference held at the Wisma Felda on Wednesday, Felda community deputy general manager Anuar Malek explained the plan to the media; "Felda United will receive prioritisation for the stadium's use, but the stadium will be considered for other uses as well, so that it's artificial turf will not wear out."
Almost RM2 million has been spent on the installation of its imported turf, he added.
He elaborated, that a Felda community league final match that will be held at the ground on Feb 4, Thursday evening will act as a dry run for MSL matches held at the stadium this season.
According to Anuar, the final match, with its free admission, will also be used to gauge the interest of fans towards attending matches involving Felda United at the stadium.
The stadium is also part of Felda United's plan to consolidate its brand across the whole country, and not just in Felda settlements, said Anuar.
The 20,000 seater stadium, built specifically for football with its absence of a running track, was built beginning 2013, and is ready to be used this season.
