On the club's social media, the club stated that the former Kedah and Negeri Sembilan striker's contract will run for a year, until the end of the 2016 season.
In the press conference announcing his signing, Red Rockets head coach Nidzam Jamil told the media that the club is estatic at his signing. "Everyone at the club will now help him to get his old form back, and most importantly, to help the club," said the coach.
The 29 year old player left Kedah for Negeri Sembilan at the end of the 2014 season, but recurring injuries barred him from makin an impact for the Deers.
A few weeks ago Khyril was seen attending trial with Selangor, but the Red Giants opted not to sign him.
In AirAsia FC's inaugural season in Malaysian professional football last year, the club finished in the seventh spot in Group B of the 2015 FAM League. They are aiming to win a promotion to the Malaysian Premier League this season.
