Last season’s top scorer in the Malaysia Super League (MSL), Dramane Traore, will be Kelantan after signing a contract and passing his medical.
According to Kelantan Football Association’s (KAFA) secretary-general, Datuk Ismail Md Noor, Kelantan decided to get the 34-year-old after they are satisfied with his fitness level.
Quoted from Utusan, Ismail said: “We (KAFA) are satisfied with his fitness and his health based on the test that we did on him.”
“The tests were conducted and supervised fully by the evaluators that KAFA appointed before we signed him,” added Ismail.
Traore signed a one-year contract with the Red Warriors and Ismail is hoping that he can repeat the achievement that he did last season.
Taken from Kosmo, Ismail added: “I hope he will give his best. Not just that, we also want him to repeat the record he made as the top goal scorer like last season.”
Traore is the second import player that Kelantan have signed this season after Australian defender, Jonathan Mckain.
Meanwhile, Ismail refused to comment on the arrival of former Pahang defender Damion Stewart.
