Sarawak have revealed that they have signed Kelantan's Gilmar Jose da Silva Filho, Selangor's K. Gurusamy, Felda United's Ndumba Makeche and disputed youngster Syahrul Azwari.
The Borneo-side have revealed their new signings in a press conference held in Kuching, according to SarawakCrocs.com on Saturday.
Gilmar, 27, was signed from Kelantan, a team he had joined in the 2015 mid-season transfer window.
Makeche meanwhile joined from Felda, a team he had left just as they qualified for the recent Malaysia Cup semifinals. The Zambian-Australian forward declined the one-month contract extension offered by the club so that he could play for them in the remaining stages of the competition.
However most of the spotlight was surely received by former Harimau Muda player Syahrul Azwari, due to the controversy surrounding his signing.
As a Kelantan-born, the 22-year-old had been claimed immediately by Kelantan when the Harimau Muda programme was shut down by the Malaysian FA at the end of last month, and his name was even listed in the 2016 Kelantan squad by the Kelantan FA.
It is yet to be known whether Kelantan FA will initiate any action against Syahrul and Sarawak, although its president Annuar Musa has expressed his disappointment at having another Kelantan-born player 'poached' from them, and asked the Malaysian FA to look into the matter, in a social media post on the same day.
Gurusamy meanwhile signed from Selangor, a team he had joined at the start of the 2012 season.
The 26-year-old midfielder never got to fulfil his potential at the Klang Valley side, due to recurring injuries.
Apart from the aforementioned four, the Crocs also revealed two more new signings in the event.
They were 25-year-old former Malaysia U23 and T-Team goalkeeper Shahril Saa'ri, and Negeri Sembilan midfielder Akmal Noor.
