Kelantan have already listed 17 players for 2016

The Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) have confirmed that they have 17 players who will strengthen The Red Warriors for the upcoming M-League season.

KAFA President, Tan Sri Annuar Musa has said from the 15 players, 12 of Kelantan's players from this season will be retained because they are still contracted to the club.

Another five player on the list are young players from the junior team who have shown exceptional performances when helping the team earn the President Cup title recently.

Quoting from Utusan Malaysia, Annuar Musa has said: "The five players have signed the contract to play for Kelantan in order to strengthen the team for the 2016 season.

"Apart from that, we have also started negotiations with new players and current ones in order to complete the team." 

Annuar Musa added that KAFA are currently identifying a few import and local players to be brought into the team.

He mentioned that import players will only be selected by the end of the year before a final decision is made on who will play for The Red Warriors in the upcoming M-League season. 

"For the local players on the other hand, we will make the final decision by the end of November", he said.

Five President Cup players said to don the Kelantan jersey next season are Fakhrulzaman Wan Abdullah Zawawi, Mohd. Qayyum Marjoni Sabil, Mohd. Zafran Akramin Abd. Razak, Muhamad Shahrul Hakim Rahim and Ahmad Syihan Hazmi Mohamed.

Senior players expected to stay with The Red Warriors are captain Badhri Radzi, goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat and Nik Mohd. Shahrul Azim Abd. Halim.
