Super League newcomers Felda United have revealed that they have dropped five players from last season’s squad, and signed four new players for next season.

The five players that were dropped are Mohd Rahman Zabul, K. Thanaraj, K. Solihin, Haris Safan and Asyraf Al Japri. Raimi Md Nor, who was on loan from Selangor, will return to the Red Giants next season.

Despite being relegated to the Premier League two seasons ago, Felda United have quickly improved their team and made a quick return to the Super League at the first attempt, finishing behind PDRM in the Premier League.

Felda United also impressed in other tournaments, as they were runners-up in the FA Cup, and made it to the semi-finals of the Malaysia Cup.

Felda United also wasted no time in strengthening their squad, by signing Pahang striker Fauzi Roslan, Sarawak’s Rashid Aya, Fauzan Dzulkifli from PKNS FC and Firdaus Fauzi from Sime Darby FC.

Felda are also expected to be a competitor for next season’s MSL title, especially after giving this year’s champions Johor Darul Ta'zim a hard time during the Malaysia Cup semi-finals.

They won 4-3 in the first leg, with only 10 men on the field, before being knocked out during the second leg after losing 3-1 at Larkin Stadium.
