Terengganu-based T-Team have made their first import signing for next season with Indonesian striker Patrich Steve Wanggai set to play for them.
Wanggai was part of Persipura Jayapura’s league title-winning season and he was also featured in the Indonesia national team.
T-Team’s assistant manager Mohamad Sekanther Hamid has confirmed that they have secured the services of the striker, also known as Patty, who was the top scorer in the Indonesian Super League (ISL) last season.
According to Bernama, Sekanther said: "T-Team and Terengganu will run their final trials before making a decision regarding import players for next season."
T-Team will try players from Croatia and Nigeria in their friendly with Terengganu this Monday to fill up the final two spots.
Terengganu meanwhile will have players from Brazil, Argentina and Japan as part of their trial in the friendly match.
Sekanther added that T-Team have lined up 21 players, consisting of both new and old players, and they will complete the 25-name player list by early next month.
T-Team were disappointed this season to finish 10thin the league, and will have former Perak coach Azraai Khor to lead them, with Azlan Johar remaining there to help him improve the Titans.
