Quaterfinal is not a guarantee, says Ismail Zakaria

Sime Darby head coach Ismail Zakaria warns his side to be aware of complacency despite being able to get a point when they faced Malaysian Super League (MSL) runners up, Selangor in their last fixture.

After going behind in the first half, the team fought back to get a draw and to maitain their position at the top of the table for Group A.

The head coach stated that despite the good result, there is still no guarantee that Sime Darby will qualify for the next round and the remaining two games against Johor and ATM will be crucial for the team in their Malaysia Cup campaign.

According to Sinar Harian, Ismail said: "ATM and Johor still have a chance to make it.

"Both teams are dangerous for us because anything can happen since we all want to reach the next stage."

When commenting on the match, Ismail was disappointed with the referee’s decision of disallowing Sime Darby’s first goal.

Sime Darby are currently performing above expectation, leading Group A and are the favourites to go through the next stage.
