Former Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) Head Coach, Fandi Ahmad whose recent move to his new position as Team Manager, has parted ways with Johor Football Association (JFA) amicably by resigning from his post yesterday.
JFA in a statement stated that both sides have reached an agreement as the association are heading towards a different approach to the game.
In the statement, however JFA stated that Fandi are always welcomed to back as he is regarded as family.
It read: "JFA is prepared to support [Fandi Ahmad] in his future endeavours."
Fandi was also described as an excellent and dedicated coach and had a large contribution to the development of football in Johor.
The ex-Singapore international also released a statement to avoid rumours from spreading.
"It is a painful but an important decision for my future as a football coach.
"My family has played a very important role in arriving the at this decision," he said.
Fandi recently lost his position as JDT Head Coach and was made Team Manager instead, despite bringing JDT to the FA Cup final as well as third place in the Malaysian Super League.
